Brief History

Founded by Brian Peel in 1974
Started by operating Port Mcquarie to Lord Howe Island using a Piper PA 31.

Expanded to become an east coast regional airline operation with PA 31, B200 King Airs and E110 Bandierante aircraft.

7th April 1988 fatal accident involved a Chieftain, VH-HOX that crashed while circling to land at Coffs Harbour.
The pilot was 29 year old Anthony Lester Bowan. The pilot died of asphyxiation in the post crash fire along with several passengers.

Oxley Airlines fell into financial difficulties in 1993.
March 1994 Oxley Airlines T/A  Impulse Transport Group where sold by Administrators to Impulse Airlines who's Managing Director was Gerry McGowan. When then became Impulse Airlines a regional airline.
